    Welcome to The Approach, the online resource center for women’s bowling head and assistant officials created by the NCAA specifically to address the needs of collegiate officiating.  We are excited about the new season and look forward to the opportunities to communicate important women’s bowling information with you this year on the website

    REGISTRATION is now available.  After registering, please visit The Approach frequently to stay current on the latest Women's Bowling officiating news and information, including rules interpretations, officiating bulletins and education on officiating basics, guidance regarding event duties and preparing the lanes for fair play, lane maintenance patterns, and event certification and head officials forms.

    Video clips will be posted under the VIDEO Tab, and click the RULES BOOKS Tab to view this year's rules book.  To take this year's annual rules and officiating exam, click the TESTING Tab.

    Included in this year’s Welcome Packet is the 2018-2019 and 2019-20 NCAA Women’s Bowling Rules Book.

    As the 2018-19 women’s bowling season approaches, this is to let you know that the Women’s Bowling Officiating The Approach Central Hub will open for registration October 1. Please know that the registration fee for this season is $80, which is an increase from last season and will include a background check as part of the registration process. You will receive more information on the background check via email notification on October 1 when registration officially opens. As a reminder, officials are required to register on The Approach in order to be considered for postseason assignment.
